In today's match we have Microsoft on our left weighing at 14lbs. and on our right Sony weighing at 11lbs. --LETS GET READY TO RUMBLE--

Today I will be arguing that the "36o"(Xbox 360) is better then the "PS3"(Playstation 3). In my post I will determine which of these systems has better games. There will be an argument on which one of these systems has better online features. In addition to that it will include an argument discussing the counsel’s quality and how it can be used for more than just games. Finally we are going sum up everything in the last paragraph.

Let’s start with talking about the main thing in all systems, which is online play. The online for the 360 is called Xbox Live (also known as "Live) and for the PS3 it is Playstation Network (also known as "PSN"). In one hand Gamers who love to play Multiplayer games will choose Xbox live simply because it has a great multiplayer system and it’s easy to use. On the other hand PSN has also has a multiplayer system but unlike the live it’s not as great and not as easy to use. Live has user friendly layout in which you have your friends list, voice chats, and game invites. In the PSN there is also a layout close to that except it’s not as player friendly as the live layout. To top it of Live has Windows Live messenger and Video chat. Moving on, next on our list is gaming and quality.

Many gamers who don’t have either a 360 or PS3, think that PS3 has better games then the 360. The fact is PS3 games only look good but the game play isn’t as great as the 360 games. So if you like eye candy get PS3 games; if you want games with great game play and good graphics (but not as good as the PS3) get 360 games. Now its time to talk about the quality of the counsels, meaning what other stuff dose the counsel do instead of play games and how good are those qualities. In the 360 you have Windows Live messenger so you can chat with other people not just fellow gamers; the 360 is able to play DVDs, download episodes of your favorite show, download movies, and they are coming out with 2 new things; 1st item: Netflix, meaning if you have a Netflix account you can now watch movies straight from your 360; 2nd item: Avatars, now you will be able to have your own avatar and customize him to look like you or anything you want it to look like. In the PS3 you have a Blu-ray player which is not in a 360, it has blue tooth and Wi-Fi networking built-in; it plays DVDs, and has a new thing coming for it that is like the Avatars in the 360. So lets us conclude what we have read.

In conclusion both the systems are great but the 360 weighed heavier on the scale (literally). The 360 has better online multiplayer options and games then the PS3 and it is user friendly which gives it thumbs up. The games for the 360 have great game play but they lack the graphics of the PS3. Finally the 360 has great features other then gaming; though the PS3 has Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and Blu-ray it just wasn’t enough compared to the 360's downloadable content. The score broke down to 360 having: 3 points and the PS3 having: 1 point. 3 points are the online play, game play and system quality for 360 and 1 point on the PS3 is for game graphics. The 360 wins with a K.O.

Onimusha: Warlords

Blood, gore, hack and slash; and puzzle mania. These are the words that I would use to describe the best samurai game on the "PS2" (Playstation 2). "Onimusha" was one of the 1st titles released when the PS2 arrived at the market. One reason for it being the best Samurai game on the PS2 was that it was the 1st ever PS2 game to have great graphics and beautiful cut scenes. In this game you’re a samurai warrior who kills Oni's. Oni's are demons, devils, ogre, and trolls. The title Onimusha literally means Oni Warrior. In the beginning of the game you find out that a princess is missing and you go looking for, but you encounter a large demon that knocks you unconscious. While unconscious a bunch of good Oni spirits wake you up and give you a gauntlet on your right hand to suck in the souls of the demons. A great thing about the game is that the timeline is not made up, but rather based on real times with real historical figures. Unlike many games at that time, Onimusha had great details in its blood and gore effects. With details in the blood and gore came the variety of ways to dispatch your enemy.
In Onimusha you have many weapons at your disposal. These weapons have magical properties to them or well majority of them. When you start the game you get a normal katana, but nearly in the beginning of the game you get your 1st magical weapon called Raizan. It’s a sword that has the power of lightning and thunder. There is also draw back to the magical weapons. When you get the weapons they are weak so you have to feed them demon souls to make them stronger; example of this is: when you first get Raizan, it is not the actual sword it is a de-evolved version of it. Other then the Raizan you have: Enryuu a fire broadsword, Shippuu a wind naginata (pole weapon with 2 blades on either side), Bishamon sword which is the ultimate sword, a Bow, and an Arquebus which is a hook gun. Even though the game had great graphics and game play for being one of the 1st games on the PS2, many people did criticize the game. 1 of the arguments was that it a short-game not worth the time. It is true that this game is a bit short but it is way worth anybodies time. You will never get tried for the hacking and the slashing all the way till the end of the game. Let us look at what we have so far to prove it is the best samurai game on the ps2; in the next paragraph.

Onimusha: Warlords has and extensive about of blood and violence, which many gamers love in there games. It includes many great weapons and special powers that come out of the weapons. It has endless monsters to kill. It also has best cut scenes in it's time. The timeline of the game is based accurately with real historic figures. Which majority of samurai games don’t have; so while you’re playing the game you’re also learning a bit. Which is why I consider Onimusha: Warlords the best samurai game on the PS2. It deserves a bloody, gory, hacking and slashing 10 out of 10.

Death in the Crowd!

I would like to tell gamers why Assassin's Creed is the ultimate stealth game. The game is free roam so the gamer can stalk his prey how ever they want. It features unique attacks and counter-attacks; if a counter-attack is performed it saves the gamer from taking any damage and inflicts major damage on the enemy. There're only 4 weapons the character Altair uses in the game; these are the weapons: a sword, a short sword with throwing knives, and a hidden blade (the hidden blade is where Altair's ring finger used to be on his left hand) . Two of the weapons, the throwing knives and the hidden blade are the most unique. The throwing knives are ranged weapons which replace the bow and arrow. The hidden blade is unique because it can kill someone in one hit, which is great for dispatching someone in the crowd. Unlike other stealth games in this game the gamer has to blend into the crowd instead of hiding in the shadows like other stealth games. The gamer has to complete his mission while trying to act like a citizen.

Even though the game has many great features it has a few flaws. The biggest issue gamers have in the game is not being able to swim. I think it's a challenge the developers put in, because already Altair is unstoppable so there should be a part that should even out the odds and it will help you hone your skills in movability. The other issue gamers have is the length of the game; they think it's to short. Yes it's a short game, but since it is so beautifully done that when a gamer plays only a part of the game they can't stop playing. Hopefully when they make a sequel to the game they will make it longer. One issue about the game that quite a few people notice is there are no dark areas you can hide. That is true; unlike other stealth games you do not hide in the shadows instead you hide in the crowd.

Assassin's Creed has a vast map, you can explore 4 cities and a land mass connecting all the cities called "The Kingdom" in which you use a horse to travel from one city to another. The 4 cities are: Jerusalem, Acre, Damascus and Masyaf. The gamer will also have fun scaling buildings and walls and jumping roof top to roof top. Scaling walls and jumping from roof top will be essential skill for running away from the guards when they are after you for killing the target. To kill a target the gamer just doesn’t go over to him and stabs him. He has to dig up information first so he knows more about the targets behavior. The ways that available to get info are: eavesdropping, forceful interrogation, pick pocketing, and completing small tasks for there fellow assassins who will give the gamer information about his target. I think the whole idea of not using shadows as cover is new and great. It is unique then other stealth games. Any assassin can hide in the shadows, but a good one can hide anywhere including a crowd. That is why I think it is the ultimate stealth game.

Call to Arms!

Have you ever heard a member of the armed forces say: "War is hell"? I bet you have. I think they left the phrase incomplete. Maybe, the phrase went a little like this: "War is hell...of fun!" You can get the same fun, but in the comfort of your own house when you play Call of duty 4: Modern Combat. It's the ultimate real world shooter (meaning a shooting game based in our time). In "CoD4" you get a wide selection of weapons and even wider selection of upgrades for them. The weapons are categorized as: Assault Rifles, Sub-Machine Guns, Light-Machine Guns, Shotguns, and Sniper Rifles. CoD4 is packed with perks which give you advantage's over the opponent. Snipers in the game have camouflage leaves on them so they are hard to spot. The game has both single player and multiplayer. CoD4 also features a great online play, which I’m going to tell in detail.

The online play on CoD4 is unbelievably fun. Online you start off as a Private and have to gain points by winning games to rank up. While ranking up you unlock many weapons, upgrades, and perks. Since you’re online you can fight and test your skills against people around the world. You can never get tired of playing the game, because it features 16 fun maps you can wreak havoc on. There are addition maps that you can get, but you will have to purchase them. The maps range from isolated buildings in Russia to devastated towns in the Middle-East. Like in most shooting games, there is a deathmatch game type in CoD4 along with others. Some of the other game types are: Cage Matches, where you go 1 vs. 1 against another person; Search and Destroy, in which you have to find the opponents bomb holder and kill him before he sets the bomb; finally Hardcore Team Deathmatch, its like a normal team deathmatch where you kill the enemy with the help of your team, but hardcore makes it so that there is no Rader and HUD (HUD is the thing on the screen showing how much ammunition you have, are you crouching or either laying down on the ground, and has a crosshair (its where you aim)) All in all this the best war time shooter I have ever played. If you want to have the funs of war at your own house, get Call of Duty 4: Modern Combat.

Grand Theft Auto 4

If you have nothing do, or just want to kill time. You should go out and get Grand Theft Auto IV. In Grand Theft Auto IV you can do almost anything you want; that is because it is a "Free Roam" game. A "Free Roam" game is where you can go anywhere and do anything; there are no restrictions to stop you. If you just want to cruise around in a fast car and not follow the story-line, you can do that. If cruising isn’t your thing you can go around killing anyone you see, but be careful of the police for they will be after you if you commit a crime. Plus there are 4 different islands that you can cause havoc in. Other then that GTA 4 has a wide assortment of vehicles and weapons. There vehicle choices range from a Station Wagon to an altered version of a Ferrari. As for there weapons they consist of: grenades, pistols, sub-machine guns, machine guns, snipers, and even rocket launchers.

The best part of the game is the online play. When you go online you have the choice of playing ranked matches, unranked matches, or the notorious free mode. In ranked matches you can play different game types such as racing or death match (which is basically people killing each other.), to get points which advances your rank so players know not to mess with you. Unranked is very similar to ranked matches, the only difference is that you don’t get any points for playing. In Free mode you can basically do whatever you want; you can go around on killing sprees (which is basically a craving of mass murder), do drive-bys, or race with your friends. An interesting feature while playing online is that if you kill a "Rockstar" developer it gives a new costume that you can wear. The costume is of a Zombie wearing a yellow Speedo with a "Rockstar" symbol on it. All in all this game gives you so much freedom that half the time you don’t know what to want to do. So if you are looking waste your time and have nothing to do. Go buy Grand Theft Auto IV, I promise you that you will not be disappointed.

Start of the Down

System of a down was formed in formed in 1995 in Glendale, California. The 4 man band consisted of: Serj Tankian, Daron Malakian, Shavo Odadjian, and Andy Khachaturian. After the band had formed they quickly started with the making of their demo tapes, many of songs that were featured in the demo made there way onto the band's debut album. They had to replace their drummer after he had left in mid 1997 due to a hand injury. The new drummer to take Andy's place was John Dolmayan. In 1998 System released there debut album called System of a Down; which was a moderate success. Then in 2001 they came out with there Best album: Toxicity. The album has sold more than 6 million copies worldwide. Due to 9/11 their hit single "Chop Suey!" was taken off the radio due to the fact that it contained the line "(I don't think you) trust in my self-righteous suicide." Soon after in 2002 they came out with another album called "Steal This Album!” it resembled a burnable CD that was marked with a marker. Unlike Toxicity, this album wasn't a great hit. In 2004-05 they produced Mezmerize and Hypnotize which were released 6 months apart from each other. Their hit single "B.Y.O.B." from the album Mezmerize won a Grammy Award. In May of 2006, the band declared a hiatus with no words of when they were getting together again.
